Few places can bring fashion, celebrity, and a cause together as naturally as Los Angeles. On September 29, 2026, that intersection came to life at The W Hollywood, where the Blue Jacket Fashion Show brought its Diamond Anniversary celebration to the city—and turned a runway into a conversation about men’s health.
Held during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, the invitation-only evening gathered actors, musicians, athletes, television personalities, designers and medical professionals beneath the lights, all wearing variations of the same message: visibility matters.

Founded in 2016 by designer Frederick Anderson and Laura Miller, the Blue Jacket Fashion Show has spent the past decade making prostate cancer awareness part of the cultural conversation. Its signature blue jacket has become more than a fashion statement, serving as a recognizable symbol for advocacy, early detection, and the importance of understanding one’s health risks.
A Runway With Personality
The evening was anything but conventional.

Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko danced his way down the runway, bringing the movement and showmanship of the ballroom to the fashion stage. Sam Asghari made his own memorable appearance, sharing a kiss with girlfriend Brooke Irvine before taking his turn on the runway shirtless.

On the carpet, Savannah James, Ricco Ross, and his wife, Julie, joined designer Frederick Anderson for a photo that captured the evening’s mix of fashion, entertainment, and community.
Ian Ziering walked the carpet while promoting his new role as host of The Great American Road Rally: Celebrity Edition.

And then there was Everett Osborne, whose recent work in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married… has put him in front of a new wave of viewers, alongside his acclaimed performance in Sweetwater, the film centered on NBA pioneer Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton.

The guest list reflected the breadth of Los Angeles entertainment: legendary singer Jon B, Love Is Blind personality Brett Brown, Beauty in Black actor Ricco Ross, Emmy winner Terrence Terrell, Blossom actor David Lascher, reality star Jordan Wisely, Paradise and Wolverine Game actor Jonathan Tanigaki, and more.

NFL legend Rodney Peete attended with Holly Robinson Peete, while transformation specialist Corey Calliet, professional cyclist and Olympic hopeful Dante Young, and celebrity DJ Dar Jar added their own presence to the night.

But for all the familiar faces, the most important voices weren’t necessarily the ones accustomed to walking red carpets.
All the mens looks were selected by Celebrity Stylist Tod Hallman.
Making Men’s Health Visible
Four physicians joined the evening to help bring the conversation back to the reason behind the runway: prostate cancer.
Dr. Matthew Rettig of UCLA, Dr. Jun Gong of Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Przemyslaw Twardowski of Providence, and Dr. Daniel Daneshvar of UC Irvine participated in interviews conducted by Nazy Zomorodian, NP of UCLA, highlighting the medical community’s continuing work around the disease.

The need for that conversation is significant. Black men are approximately 70% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer and twice as likely to die from the disease compared with White men, underscoring the importance of awareness and conversations around risk and early detection.
That is where the Blue Jacket Fashion Show’s approach becomes particularly relevant.
Instead of placing health advocacy in a conventional conference room, the organization brings it into the world of fashion and culture—where people are already looking, listening, and gathering. The blue jacket becomes an entry point into a subject that can otherwise remain uncomfortable or overlooked.

Where Los Angeles Meets Purpose
Bloomingdale’s returned as the menswear fashion partner, showcasing Fall 2026 trends from leading designers available in the Los Angeles market. And Johnson & Johnson sponsored the evening.
Yet the clothes were never the entire story.
That’s what made the night feel particularly at home in Los Angeles. This is a city built around storytelling, image, and influence—but some of its most meaningful cultural moments happen when those things are used to draw attention to something larger than the people in the spotlight.
