Endometriosis Awareness Takes Center Stage at Gurus Magazine Luncheon in Beverly Hills

by | Mar 9, 2026

In recognition of Endometriosis Awareness Month, Gurus Magazine partnered with Morgan Publicity and Iris Wings to host an intimate media luncheon in Beverly Hills, bringing together advocates, media voices, and cultural figures for an afternoon dedicated to elevating the conversation around women’s health and one of the most widely misunderstood conditions affecting millions of women worldwide.

The gathering took place at The Hideaway Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive, where guests convened for an afternoon centered on connection, education, and awareness. The event was hosted by Gurus Media CEO and Founder Derek Warburton, who welcomed attendees from across entertainment, wellness, and media to support the important initiative.

The luncheon also served as the setting for Gurus Magazine’s Endometriosis Awareness Month celebrity cover campaign, with the covers displayed throughout the venue as guests arrived, visually reinforcing the message of the campaign and creating a focal point for conversation throughout the afternoon.

Endometriosis affects an estimated 200 million women worldwide, with one in ten women globally living with the condition. Despite its prevalence, patients often experience an average delay of up to 12 years before receiving a diagnosis, highlighting the need for greater visibility, education, and advocacy surrounding the disease.

At the center of the campaign is Dr. Iris Kerin Orbuch, a leading endometriosis excision specialist and patient herself. Through both her medical expertise and personal advocacy, Dr. Kerin Orbuch continues to be one of the most prominent voices working to improve awareness, diagnosis, and treatment for women living with the condition.

The cover series also features several influential voices helping bring visibility to the disease through storytelling and advocacy, including Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Liars, To All The Boys), Corinne Foxx (Beat Shazam), Courtney Ford (Dexter, Supernatural, Legends of Tomorrow, True Blood), and filmmaker Shannon Cohn, director of the acclaimed documentary Below the Belt. The film explores the realities faced by women living with endometriosis and was co-produced by Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rosario Dawson, Mae Whitman, and Corinne Foxx.

The covers were photographed by celebrity photographer Josh Fogel, recipient of the 2024 Gurus Awards Lens of Inclusion Award, whose work continues to spotlight cultural figures helping drive meaningful conversations across entertainment and wellness.
