Company Leadership Recommitted to Supporting The American Art Therapy Association for the Next Five Years!
LOS ANGELES, September 17, 2026 – Grabie, the global art and creative supplies brand, celebrated its fifth anniversary on Tuesday, September 15th, at an event in Los Angeles that brought together company leadership, artists, creators, customers, media, and members of the creative community. Held during National Arts Education Week, the evening honored five years of creativity and art accessibility while looking ahead to the company’s next chapter.

Mr. Lu, CEO and Founder of Grabie, joined Evan Li, COO and Co-Founder, and Kallah Maguire, Director of Marketing, to deliver on-site remarks reflecting on the company’s growth since its founding in 2021. The speeches highlighted the role of Grabie’s partners, including creators, fans, and retail partners, in the brand’s success to date, and outlined a vision for the next five years centered on making art supplies more widely available to those who wouldn’t otherwise have access.

As part of the evening’s remarks, Grabie leadership also announced a recommitment to its current collaboration with the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), pledging continued support for the organization’s work over the next five years. Specific details of the expanded commitment are still being finalized and will be shared in the coming months.

“Five years is an important milestone for Grabie, but in many ways, we feel like we’re just getting started. As we look ahead, our ambition goes beyond making great art supplies. We want to build a brand that encourages people to create more often, try new things, and discover what creativity can bring to their lives. As Grabie continues to grow around the world, we hope to create more opportunities for people to connect through creativity, explore new forms of artistic expression, and make creating a natural and rewarding part of their everyday lives,” said Mr. Lu, CEO & Founder of Grabie.
The evening featured interactive art and crafting experiences, product previews, branded installations, a first look at select upcoming releases, a limited-edition Grabie anniversary keepsake box, along with music, food, and refreshments.

As Grabie enters its sixth year, the company continues to meet people wherever they engage with creativity, from its growing online presence and community experiences to more than 4,000 U.S. retail locations, including Target, Paper Source, The Container Store, and Books-A-Million.

While the company has evolved considerably since its founding, Grabie says its core philosophy has remained consistent: make art more accessible and encourage more people to create.
“We believe creativity should feel accessible to everyone, whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or have been creating for years. As we look to the next five years, that means continuing to develop thoughtful, innovative, high-quality products while creating richer experiences for our community both online and offline. We also see tremendous opportunity to build new partnerships, reach new audiences, and create more ways for people to engage with Grabie beyond the products themselves. Our goal is to continue growing the business while creating meaningful experiences that bring greater comfort, confidence, and joy through art,” said Evan Li, COO & Co-Founder of Grabie.

A central part of Grabie’s mission is the Grabie Art Fund, launched in 2022, with a percentage of all purchases made through GrabieArt.com going toward providing art supplies to underserved communities, children’s hospitals, schools with underfunded art programs, and other community-based programs.

Working closely with AATA, Grabie has supported art therapists who offer free community courses for teens, at-risk youth, and families across the U.S. by providing the art supplies needed for their programs; a relationship the company reaffirmed and extended at last night’s event.

Since its founding, the Grabie Art Fund has provided art supplies supporting thousands of participants through more than 65 organizations across the country, including Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, putting the company’s founding belief into action: art should be accessible to everyone, regardless of circumstance.

“National Arts in Education Week is an important reminder of how vital art is, especially as schools face cuts to their art programs,” said Kallah Maguire, Director of Marketing at Grabie. “Schools are one of the many areas we support through the Grabie Art Fund, and we’ve been fortunate to provide supplies that have helped keep some of those school art programs going. And we’re just getting started. We have ambitious plans to expand the Grabie Art Fund into 2027 and beyond, reaching more communities and building new partnerships that further our mission of making art accessible to everyone.”
