Richard Purvis, who is originally from California, comes from a sports nutrition background. “I worked out fairly quickly the mechanisms in supplements were mostly synthetic and the molecular recognition and biocompatibility had to do with assimilation,” says Purvis.“That led me eventually to start my own company, which was called Nutramax.” Nutramax was focused primarily on sports nutrition.
