NAME

ERIC GUILMETTE

OCCUPATION

ACTOR/ MODEL

Eric Guilmette is a bonafide creative who is a secret poet that has taken his wanderlust to the next level by visiting 32 countries and counting.

What are you most grateful for?

Getting to do something I love and am very passionate about every day. I’ve been on the other side of that before, so waking up with a strong eagerness to live is truly priceless.

Sweet or Savoury?

Savoury. I am a weirdo that doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth… even though growing up, I could take down a family-size bag of gummy bears in a few days.

Most profound learning experience ever?

Seeking discomfort. We are a very “comfortable” society… but when you purposefully put yourself in uncomfortable environments, you force yourself to grow tremendously. That’s what I did when I moved to southern California 3.5 years ago… and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Name the biggest pet peeve you have. It can be anything and it’s no-holds-barred.

My biggest pet peeve is people disrespecting your time. Be punctual. Even better, aim to show up early. If you’re going to be late, give me a heads up. We all only have 24 hours and, to me, the greatest sign of respect is showing someone you care by being on time.

How do you prepare yourself before shows?

No matter if I am acting, modeling or going to an event, my preparation is 99% mental. It’s setting my energy, deciding the vibe I want to give off, and shedding any negative thoughts or forces from my mind… as much as your body is your visual representation, your body language is your first and most important form of communication.

How do you use Sundays to de-stress from work?

I don’t necessarily have a “Sunday”. I do however implement daily habits like meditating, cold plunging, and breath work to de-stress. Sometimes just 20 minutes of real self-care can help you for 7 days.

Who is your fictional superhero/idol?

Luke Skywalker. I am one of the biggest Star Wars nerds and Luke was and still is my idol.

What is your biggest weakness and strength?

My biggest weakness is patience. I’m originally from the suburbs of Boston… which is a very go-go-go way of living. So traffic, slow walkers, people who use excuses for delays… Those are all my sub-set pet peeves. My biggest strength is my heart. I love a lot and love big, in all areas of my life.

What’s your hidden and weird talent that no one, not even your partner knows about?

My hidden/not-so-hidden talent is that I am a poet… which goes along with my heart being my biggest strength. I wear my heart on my sleeve and it just so happens it’s beautiful when I write it down for others to connect and reflect on.

What is a trend that you wish to obliterate forever?

Ghosting. People are afraid of confrontation these days, and ghosting someone is a cowardly way to get out of having a real human-to-human talk about your feelings, what you want, etc.

What did you want to do with your life at the age of 14?

Play in the NHL. Now I’m a model and actor. So close lol.
