My Sundaze with Heather Duffy

by | Feb 26, 2023

NAME

HEATHER DUFFY

OCCUPATION
Publicist/ Editor-at-Large

Sunday mornings are everyone’s favorite moment of the week. What do you spend your time doing?

I cannot tell a lie. I sleep in ridiculously late on Sundays — mostly because my dog does too. Sundays are also brunch, tennis, and Farmers Market.

What are you most grateful for?

Of course, my family, friends, and health, but I am also thankful that I am a glass-half-full person. It’s helped me stay happy and positive throughout my life.

Everyone has a Eureka moment. When do you feel the most inspired?

When I have the chance to get out of the city and unplug.

What was your most profound learning experience?

The loss of my friend and business partner recently taught me to live more fearlessly and care less about the BS that does not matter to me or the world.

What is your biggest pet peeve? It can be anything, and it’s no-holds-barred.

People who judge others without any attempt to understand a different point of view.

What are the three things you can’t live without?

My family, My friends, and laughter.

What are your most guilty pleasures?

Sleeping in, Champagne, and Dominoes thin crust — They are all related.

What’s your hidden and weird talent that no one knows about, not even your partner?

I can’t say, but my partner would know;)

What is a trend that you wish to obliterate forever?

Mom Jeans

What did you want to do with your life at 15?

The truth is that I grew up in a very traditional way, with very old-fashioned gender roles presented to me. I was never asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, and it was assumed I would be a wife and mother. I remember thinking that the world was fair because men had to work, and that was hard. Women had to have babies, and that hurt. So we are even. Little did I know women have to do it all. Or get to do it all, I should say – glass half full.
