My Sundaze with Rob Kellner

by | Apr 2, 2023

NAME:
ROB KELLNER
OCCUPATION
HEAD COACH PREVAIL BOXING / REALTOR

I’ve been living in LA for 14 years now and made my way here from a small town in Florida known as Citrus County. Fun Fact: I moved out here with my childhood best friend, Miles Teller, and he’s made quite a name for himself out here! Currently, I am the head coach of Prevail Boxing in West Hollywood, as well as a partner in the company, we have two locations in LA with plans to expand. I am also a licensed Realtor, so if you’re in the market to buy, sell, or lease–I’m your guy!

Sunday mornings are everyone’s favorite moment of the week. What do you spend your time doing?

Sundays are special to me. I start the day playing with my 3 year old, Scout. After some QT, I head to the grocery store to load up on groceries for the week. When I get back, I fire up my charcoal grill and begin a 2 hour meal prep routine to ensure I have healthy meals ready to rock for the work week. Following that, I spend the remaining time with the family, binging TV shows, or going out for a family outing. Now, if I have a showing or open house on a Sunday, that will obviously take priority, and I’ll get to my meal prep later in the day.

What are you most grateful for?

I am most grateful for my daughter, she is the light of my life.

Everyone has a Eureka moment, when do you feel the most inspired?

I feel most inspired in the middle of coaching a fitness boxing class. Seeing members hit milestones and have break throughs on a daily basis really fires me up and pushes me to be and do better in every aspect of my daily routine.

What was you most profound learning experience?

My biggest learning experience to date was the second I became a Dad. Nothing has ever driven me to want to work harder and provide better than that beautiful little girl I get to come home to every day. It truly gave my life purpose in the best way possible.

What is your biggest pet peeve?  It can be anything and it’s no holds-barred.

Oh boy, I have A LOT of pet peeves. But, a big one is Spilling a plate of spaghetti…don’t ask me why, but I go postal lol.

What are the three things you can’t live without?

1. Music 2. Good food 3. Family & Friends

What are your most guilty pleasures?

Watching Love Island, I think I’ve seen every season. Another would be eating pizza at least once a week; Danny Boy’s Original in downtown LA is my go-to!

What’s your hidden and weird talent that no one, not even your partner knows about?

I played a lot of bar gigs in college as a singer/songwriter, and covered a lot of songs, but really haven’t strummed the ol’ six-string in over half a decade at least. Maybe I should pick it back up again just for fun.

What is a trend that you wish to obliterate forever?

TikTok dances, or TikTok in general (Sorry TikTok’ers!)

What did you want to do with your life at the age of 15?

I wanted to be a professional baseball player and was determined to get there. However, the cards were dealt just a little differently after a couple injuries, but I wouldn’t change a thing from then to now.
