Stuntwoman, Actress, & Cyr Wheel Performer

Short Bio

Taylor Krasne is a stunt woman and actress. She made her screen debut in Tacoma FD’s “Pickleball” episode, as well as in the feature film “Soul Mates,” sharing the screen with Charlie Weber. Before pursuing stunts, Krasne trained full time and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the National Institute of Circus Arts in Australia, specializing in Cyr wheel and was soon after accepted into Cirque du Soleil. Upon moving back to the US, she was quickly drawn to the stunt industry and has been working in Hollywood since 2018, in tandem with her circus career. Taylor has been a stunt double for actors including Amy Adams, Christina Ricci, Sarah Gilman, and Isabella Pappas.

In each day that we are alive. Can you tell us what are the three things you are grateful for?

I’m most grateful for my health, as I understand what it’s like to have that taken away from you. I’m also grateful for the people in my life, and the friends I’ve made along the way of pursuing this insane industry. The ultimate goal for me is to just work consistently with friends, so I’m grateful to be on the road to that dream.

Favorite type of music?

Retro/synth wave. My favorite band is The Midnight, and a close second is Timecop1982. Aside from that, I’m a big fan of Hans Zimmer and can’t wait to see him live later this year. I love so many different genres and listen to basically everything except country, but synth wave is one that gets me to turn my performer brain off, so I lean toward that most of the time!

Who would you switch lives with for one day if you could?

Probably an astronaut. It would be amazing to experience being in space/seeing unbelievable views/floating around in zero gravity (and you better believe I’d be flying around as much as Peter Pan up there), but I think a solid 24 hours up there would be enough for me.

Name the biggest pet peeve you have. It can be anything and it’s no holds-barred.

A recent pet peeve has been hearing people overuse the phrase “literally obsessed” complete with vocal fry. But the biggest one is people chewing with their mouth open/smacking their lips when they eat.

How do you psyche yourself up for the day ahead?

I’ll make a list of things to do on a huge sticky note pad! Can’t focus on my day without doing that. Also a good playlist when getting ready always helps.

Go-to products in your bag that you can’t live without?

Lately I’ve been carrying a disposable camera in my bag to whip out at random. I also keep my tinted Ilea chapstick and mascara to stay looking somewhat presentable and fresh while I’m training and sweating all day.

How do you use Sundays to de-stress from work?

I’ll sincerely try to do as little as possible and let myself lay down for as long as I want to. Regular yoga never helps relax me because I automatically view it as a workout, but “yin yoga” is my go-to on Sundays for releasing physical stress and resetting my body. It’s just holding stretching positions for long periods of time (5 minutes each position), so even though I’m barely moving it still gives me the illusion that I’m doing something.

How would you describe yourself?

Resilient, kind, driven.

What is your biggest weakness and strength?

I like to do tasks myself and don’t ask for help a lot, which can be hindrance when I should be relying on the skillsets of others. Opening more communication to voice priorities and support needed has helped in combating that. I’d say a good strength of mine is being self motivated and having a strong work ethic, as well as having a good ability to “read the room” in different environments.

What’s your hidden and weird talent that no-one, not even your partner knows about?

I went viral on social media a couple years ago for this so it’s not exactly “hidden,” but I taught myself the opening dance sequence from the movie “Bring it On” when I was nine-years-old and can still whip out the choreography at any given moment. The muscle memory of that dance will never leave my body for some reason. It’s a fun party trick!

What is a trend that you wish to obliterate forever?

People calling outfits “fits.” I don’t know why, but it drives me nuts.

The best compliment you ever got from anyone?

You are the most incredible person I have ever met.
