SELENEE, the avant-garde luxury fashion brand, left a lasting impression at LA Fashion Week with the debut of its Spring 2025 collection, “The Garden of Forking Paths”. The highly anticipated show took place on March 16 at Neue House Hollywood, where a total of 36 captivating looks were presented to an enthusiastic crowd.

Inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ short story of the same name, the collection explores the theme of infinite possibilities through a visually stunning and emotionally charged presentation. Models walked through a reflective garden of mirrors, pausing at designated “enchantment zones” for dramatic reveals — blending fashion with art in an immersive experience.

The show opened with influencer and model Sonya Esman and closed with a breathtaking finale featuring a red ruffled bow gown, designed by MT Yang. Guests were treated to cocktails while enjoying the spectacle of models navigating the mysterious labyrinthine runway.

The collection’s palette of classic gray and black reflects the intersection of order and chaos. Structured tailoring, exaggerated shoulders, corseted coats, checkered pants, and sculptural capes defined the lineup — a fusion of vintage and modern elements that embody SELENEE’s signature style. Pieces range from $480 to $5,800 and are available for purchase on the SELENEE website.
MoTong Yang, Artistic Director of SELENEE, shared her inspiration behind the collection:
“Every path is a choice, giving rise to infinite possibilities. Los Angeles is the perfect setting for this collection as it’s not only where my dreams began, but also where many of my friends, like me, have found the courage to pursue their dreams again. This show is not only a fulfillment of my original aspirations but also a way to inspire those who once put their dreams on hold due to reality, encouraging them to take a bold step forward. It is for the dreams we once left behind and for the better versions of ourselves.”

Since its 2023 inception, SELENEE has gained recognition for its bold exploration of three-dimensional designs and innovative silhouettes. The Spring 2025 collection continues this tradition, featuring intricate details like split cuffs resembling labyrinth branches and layered skirts symbolizing intersecting paths.
