Helen Mirren, Sharon Stone, Marisa Tomei, Diane Warren, and Many Others Illuminated the Nasdaq Tower as 30 Notable Women Shared Their “I AM” Declarations
New York, NY — March 8, 2026 — In celebration of International Women’s Day, the nonprofit film production company We Do It Together presented its annual global “I AM” Campaign, created by founder Chiara Tilesi, on the iconic Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, transforming one of the world’s most visible public spaces into a powerful tribute to women’s identity, representation, and cultural influence.

The monumental visual installation illuminated Times Square with striking portraits and declarations from an extraordinary group of artists and changemakers. Among the featured voices were Academy Award–winning actress Helen Mirren, acclaimed actresses Sharon Stone and Marisa Tomei, Grammy Award–winning songwriter Diane Warren, actress Leonor Varela, filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke, and advocate and CNN Hero Kim Carter, alongside many other influential women.
Conceived by Chiara Tilesi, the “I AM” Campaign was designed to redefine how women are portrayed in media—shifting the narrative from object to subject. At a time when global statistics show that one in three women experiences physical or sexual violence in her lifetime, the initiative seeks to address the cultural roots of inequality by elevating women’s voices, identities, and self-definition.
“I am deeply honored to bring together such a remarkable group of women who embody the campaign’s global mission,” said Tilesi, Founder and President of We Do It Together. “Through their presence and their words, they help reshape how women are represented in media and culture. This campaign is part of our ongoing commitment to advancing women’s voices on screen and beyond, contributing to a broader shift in collective consciousness.”

The campaign featured 30 women leaders from cinema, music, fashion, media, and advocacy, each captured in a striking portrait accompanied by the words “I AM” followed by a word personally chosen by each participant. These individual declarations formed a collective statement celebrating contemporary womanhood—conscious, autonomous, and diverse.

Previous editions of the “I AM” Campaign have transformed major cities into open-air exhibitions, with projections across historic landmarks in Turin and Rome, including Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, and the Mole Antonelliana.
The 2026 edition marked the campaign’s debut in New York City and its most visible installation to date. In collaboration with Nasdaq, the portraits illuminated the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, symbolically reclaiming public space through women’s voices, presence, and self-definition.
