Story by Elizabeth Taylor
What do you get when you mix Italian roots, a love for family, and an unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit? You get The Blonde Italian—Lauren Falcione—a woman who’s taken her homegrown recipes and turned them into a booming food brand found in kitchens across America.
There’s something unmistakably joyful about Lauren— her laughter, her passion, and the way she talks about food as if it’s love in edible form.

Lauren’s story isn’t just about sauces. It’s about sauce and soul. For nearly 11 years, she’s poured her heart into creating seasonings and flavor that bring people together. “The first couple of years, my daughters would ask, ‘Mom, what are you doing?!’” she laughs. “I went on TV… I rented a kiosk… I put this giant picture of my face right there in the circle. They were really embarrassed. Now my daughters are ultra-proud of me.”

As a working mom who wanted to keep homemade meals on the table without sacrificing hours, she created a time-saving solution: her signature garlic-herb seasoning. Giavanna’s Garden Garlic was named after her daughter, and soon she added Sister Mia’s Savory Salsa. With each product, she honored her roots while building something bigger than herself.

Working out of a commercial kitchen, she cooked thousands of jars by hand. From selling at farmers markets to seeing her creations stocked in stores, every milestone was earned through grit and grace. She used her food safety knowledge from the Ohio Department of Agriculture to give her business the structure it needed, but it was her heart that gave it flavor.
Now, she’s squeezing sunshine into every jar with The Lemon Summer of Love. “I have a new lemon vinaigrette coming out. I have lemon pepper seasoning and I also have a lemon Parmesan sauce,” Falcione shares. These products reflect not just her love for bold flavor but her zest for life.

“I love what I do,” she says. “It’s obvious that I’m very passionate and it just really comes out of me. I turn into another person when I’m working because I just love people so much and I love what I’m doing. When I meet someone that I know is genuinely interested and asks me questions of how I started and what I know, it just really makes me feel good because I’ve worked so hard. I did hear so much negativity when I began. So, it’s just nice to be appreciated now.”
Lauren Falcione is proof that dreams can be stirred up from the most ordinary places—like a family kitchen. Her journey is a recipe that starts with love and ends with a legacy. And this summer, it’s lemon-flavored.
